FAQ

  • I went onto the Internship & Placement portal as a student and found an internship I’m interested in. I have submitted an application attaching my CV and a cover letter. What should I do now?
The company will have received your application via an automatic email from wea@unicatt.it (the subject line will be: New application entered). Now you just have to wait for the company to contact you to fix an interview.

  • I have been selected. What should I do now?
You now have to activate your internship abroad. Refer to the activation instructions which were attached to the same email (subject line: New application entered). The company doesn’t have to do anything at this point.

  • I am trying to activate a trilateral agreement but have got stuck because, although I have put in the company information, the system won’t let me continue. What can I do?
To select the company, go to the company name section, put in the first letters of the company name and CLICK ON THE SEARCH BUTTON. This will activate a drop-down menu. Select the company and the company data will automatically be added to the relevant fields.

  • I am trying to activate my curricular internship, but I can’t find the name of my tutor in the drop-down menu of my faculty’s list. What can I do?
If you already know who your tutor is, just put their surname in the tutor box and click on search:

However, if you’re not sure who your tutor is, you should check in the Activities & Experiences section of your faculty’s Unicatt webpage or contact wea@unicatt.it for further information
N.B. Take care to select the correct tutor and be sure that the tutor is assigned to you, or the project will have to be cancelled.

  • What internship type should I select: curricular internship/extracurricular internship/new-graduate internship?I
f you are about to graduate, you will be undertaking your internship after graduation: the system will not allow you to select ‘graduate internship’ because at that point your student ID will show that you are a current student and haven’t graduated. Our advice is to select ‘extracurricular internship’.

  • I need to alter some information in my trilateral project, e.g., start and end dates. How can I do this?
Contact Cattolica International at wea@unicatt.it: our office deals with altering information that has already been put in.

  • I have received an email to activate my trilateral agreement. What do I have to do now?
Go back to the portal and fill in the flight details section. IMPORTANT: your travel insurance is not valid until you have filled in these details, so do this as soon as you have purchased your return tickets.

This section also has a sub-section entitled ‘insurance documents’ where you can download your insurance documents. You should save these documents.

  • My internship is being held remotely so I can’t put in flight details.
You can leave that part empty

  • I will not be travelling by air: I will be travelling by other means. What should I put in the system?
Fill in as much as you can and be sure to put in departure and arrival dates for both the outward and return journey.
