What to do if you are selected

Cosa fare in caso di selezione?

After being selected by an international company, contact the internship tutor of your faculty to check whether your internship abroad can be recognised as curricular, for study plans that permit it.

Internship tutor names and office hours can be found on faculty websites under the "attività ed esperienze" section.

Requesting recognition of credits for internships as curricular activities is optional and is not relevant to recent graduates.

After you have been selected by an international company and have checked whether the internships can be recognised as curricular activity (if applicable), you need to activate the internship via the Internship and Placement portal.

The internship activation procedure is compulsory and must be initiated at least 30 days before commencement of the internship.

Follow the instructions in the Activation Guide.

Once the activation of the international internship has been completed via the Internship and Placement portal, you can apply for a study grant. Grants will be allocated as set out below, while funds last.

3.1 Requirements for study grants:

  • Only internships obtained through applications via the Internship and Placement portal, with CVs and cover letters uploaded but the ‘Candidates’ will be considered valid.
  • Your internship must be undertaken abroad. Internships undertaken in virtual mode from Italy are not valid for the purposes of obtaining a study grant.
  • Your internship must be of a duration of at least 60 days (months are considered as 30 days and all days are taken into account, weekends and holidays included)
  • Properly completed relevant forms must be submitted within specified times (at least 30 days before commencement of the internship for pre-departure documentation and no later than 30 days after conclusion of the internship for documentation post-internship).

The study grants cannot be combined with any other funding provided by the Università Cattolica International Office, nor can it be requested during mobility abroad through other programmes.

3.2 Amounts

Monthly amounts vary depending on the duration of the internship, the destination where the internship is carried out and also the status of the intern (whether you are a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree student, Master student, or recent graduate).
