Further information for those already selected by a company abroad

If you are a current student or a recent graduate selected for an internship abroad and the selection process did not take place through the Internship and Placement portal (that is, you did not apply to an internship advertised on the portal) you must proceed to the activation of your internship through the Step portal.

NB You cannot apply for financial support from Cattolica International for internships that are not handled via the Internship and Placement portal.

How to activate an internship abroad which has been independently found by a current student or recent graduate:
  1. Check whether the company is already registered on the Internship and Placement portal.
If it is not already registered, ask the company hosting the internship to register, following the Instructions for registering a company.

  2. Request for recognition of credits
After being selected by a company abroad, you can contact your faculty’s internship tutor to see whether the internship abroad can be recognised as curricular, for the study plans that allow for this.

Internship tutor names and office hours are on your faculty website under "activities and experiences".

The procedure for recognition of your internship as curricular is optional and does not concern recent graduates.

  3. Activation of your internship

When the company abroad is properly registered on the Internship and Placement portal (and you have checked whether your internship can be recognised as curricular, if you wish to do so) you must activate the internship through the Internship and Placement portal

This procedure is compulsory and must be started at least 30 days before the start of the internship.
Follow the steps in the Internship Activation Instructions
