The Exchange, Study Abroad, and ISEP programmes require separate applications. Applicants may choose to apply to multiple programmes at the same time. The ranking lists for all three programmes will be published simultaneously; students selected for more than one programme must choose which single offer to accept.
Applying to each programme involves three steps, all of which must be completed by December 15, 2026:
- Complete the online application for the programme, indicating from 1 to 10 destinations in order of preference
- Submit proof of language proficiency
- Pay the application fee (a separate, non-refundable fee applies to each programme)

Attending an info session is mandatory for all students applying to these calls for the first time.
Application procedure for Medicine and Surgery students
Before applying, please read the Exchange Programme General Regulations Guide carefully to understand the selection process, destination allocation, available scholarships and the guidelines concerning course selection.
STEP 1 – Complete the online application
Log in to your personal iCatt page and go to:
Services and Opportunities → International Mobility → Mobility Calls → Exchange Programs → UCSC Exchange Network
STEP 2 – Choose your destinations
Check the available destinations and carefully review the language requirements and any restrictions related to your year of study.
Please note: First-year students are not eligible to apply for this call. Applications are open from the second year of study, for mobility during the third year.
STEP 3 – Check the language requirements
For each destination selected, you must demonstrate the required language proficiency either by submitting a valid international language certificate or by taking the language test organised by Cattolica International.
If you choose to take an internal language test, you can register for the test directly through your online application. You will then receive an email with the specific test date and time slot.

Important information for planning your mobility
For Medicine and Surgery students – Rome campus, the October/November Erasmus/Exchange call is the main mobility call for the following academic year and offers the largest number of available destinations.
The subsequent call for the second semester will be residual and will include only any places remaining available after the main call. The number of destinations will therefore be more limited, and the availability of the courses students wish to attend at the host institution cannot be guaranteed.
Due to the attendance requirements and the specific organisation of the Medicine and Surgery degree programmes, it may also be more difficult to build a study plan compatible with the host institution's course offering for second-semester mobility.
Students are therefore strongly encouraged to consider the October/November call as their first option when planning their Erasmus/Exchange mobility.
