Dublin: language course + internship

The programme is made up of an English language course at the Emerald Cultural Institute in Dublin, followed by a personalised internship in the field of interest that you specify.

The programme is aimed at current students and recent graduates (within 12 months of graduation) from all faculties.
Applicants must have a minimum B1 level of English.

The language courses begin every Monday. You can choose your own start date.

Participants stay in Dublin for at least 3 months, undertking a 4-week language course followed by an 8-week internship

Application for the programme must be completed at least 8 weeks before the start of the language course.

The courses offered by Emerald Cultural Institute are available throughout the year, with start dates every Monday.

The programme requires the language course to last at least 4 weeks.

Each lesson lasts 60 minutes.

At the conclusion of your English course, you can start your 8-week internship.
When applying you will be able to tell the provider, World Endeavors, what field you wish to carry out your internship in.

The provider conducts a preliminary interview with you and then looks for an internship opportunity that fits with your CV, skills and academic profile. 

Internships are generally offered in small and medium-sized companies. It is not possible to guarantee that the internship will be carried out 100% in person. 

Price:
€ 1,250

Recognition of credit points: 
an internship held in Dublin may count as a curricular internship. To check whether your internship can be recognised as such, you should contact your faculty’s internship tutor before departure. Once you have obtained approval, you can activate your international internship via the Internships and Placement portal. 

Further information about activating an internship on the portal will be provided during application.

All participants have access to scholarships to the value of €1,000, while funds last. Your application for the programme automatically registers your application for a scholarship. 

The scholarship will be awarded in two instalments after you have submitted the required documentation: €800 when the language course has started and €200 at completion of the internship. 

  • Application fee: € 35. This is non-refundable and is paid during application.
  • Deposit fee: €280. Paid after receiving confirmation that you have been admitted to the programme, as confirmation that you wish to continue with your application. 
  • English course: €1,238 or €1,526 depending on the option selected
  • Internship: €1,250 
  • Accommodation: this will vary depending on the housing option chosen. See the section on accommodation for details. 

The overall cost of the programme will vary depending on the course and accommodation options selected and whether other options are requested. 

The costs listed above include:

  • orientation and support during application
  • pre-departure support: CV and interview preparation 
  • assistance in activating your internship and obtaining approval for credit point recognition  
  • 24/7 emergency number while abroad 
  • English language course
  • in-person professionalising internship in your area of interest
  • accommodation in housing block or with local families
  • meals where specified
  • health insurance for the duration of the programme and the Student Safety Package 
  • certificate of participation 
  • "Welcome Back: unpack your experience!" session held by Cattolica International upon return

*transport to and from the airport can be booked at a cost of €100 each way 

The Emerald Cultural Institute offers various types of housing. 

You can choose the accommodation option you prefer, although the actual availability of your preference can only be confirmed by Emeral Cultural Institute during the application process.

Host family accommodation:
Accommodation with a selected host family, including breakfast and evening meal.

A deposit of €150 is payable on check in.

The Student Safety Package is included in the programme. This consists of:

  • insurance cover valid for the entire length of the programme abroad
  • Student Safety app, to help deal with emergency situations.

  1. Attend an info session organised by Cattolica International
  2. Read the course and accommodation details to select options that suit you best 
  3. Complete the online application and upload necessary documentation. You will be required to pay a €35 application fee.

When you have completed your application, you will be contacted by the Emerald Cultural Institute to check your language level and by World Endeavors for a preliminary interview to discuss your areas of interest for your internship.

When you have received confirmation of admission to the programme, you will be asked to pay a programme fee of € 280.

The Emerald Cultural Institute and World Endeavors will notify of you of subsequent payments to be made and when they need to be paid.
