APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024-25 2nd SEMESTER OPEN UNTIL 20 MAY 20204

Clinical and Research Electives Network

The programme allows students to apply to EU and non-EU partner universities to carry out a curricular internship and/or international research for a period of between two months (minimum) and three months (maximum). 

The call is open twice a year:

  • in October-November for departure in the 1st semester of the following academic year for students enrolled on the Degree Programme in Dentistry and Dental Prostheses, Pharmacy and degree courses for health professions for which specific exchange agreements have been activated;
  • in March-April for departures in the 2nd semester of the following academic year for students enrolled on the Degree Programme in Medicina e Chirurgia (delivered in Italian), Medicine and Surgery (delivered in English), Pharmacy and courses for health professions.


Study grants:  

Study grants to the amount of between €350 and €500 per month are available, depending on destination and income. The grants will be allocated as a refund for travel expenses and other expenses incurred during the programme abroad.

Complete the online application available via your personal iCatt page under Services and opportunities > International mobility > Mobility calls > then in the drop-down menu select Exchange Programs > Electives Network.

Pay the non-refundable €35 application fee online by credit card.

NB If you are enrolled on the Degree Programme in Pharmacy, go to the relevant section on the online application and upload your completed Research Project Submission Form by the closing date of the application call.

You can apply for recognition of the programme as Clinical/Research electives (for study pathways in Medicina e Chirurgia and Medicine and Surgery) or as curricular professional internships for study plans for degrees in health professions:

The above document must be duly completed with details of the contents of activities undertaken during the internship and the academic objectives. The forms must then be submitted to the International Office at the conclusion of the programme, together with certification issued by the international host institution.

The minimum period for credits to be recognised is 1 month - 100 hours of curricular internship certified and evaluated by the tutor assigned in the host institution.

All students who take part in an international programme promoted by Cattolica International must sign up to a "Student Safety Package", which includes insurance cover and an emergency app.
