Collaborative Online International Learning

COIL Global film-making

The COIL programme on Global Filmmaking is an international project offering participants the opportunity to deal with various issues of the theory and practice of visual anthropology and documentaries, such as the problem of reflectivity, the relationship between subjectivity and objectivity, the model of co-creation, and the ethics of representation. In addition to this, participants will be divided into international teams to undertake interdisciplinary project work and share intercultural perspectives, not only in the research and pre-production phase, but also in the writing, production and post-production of a short documentary. Finally, they will be called upon to set out a reasoned distribution plan to launch the final work at international festivals.
