Graduate Programmes

Students intending to graduate must:

  1. choose a topic, verifying curricular/time requirements
  2. pay the expected contribution
  3. submit the application for admission to the final examination, verifying the curricular/temporal requirements
  4. deliver the final paper and microfiches in the prescribed manner

The topic of the thesis must relate to a course included in the degree curriculum and the title must be agreed upon with the relevant professor.

In order to obtain approval for the topic, it is necessary to contact the professor. 

The topic must then be entered on the iCatt personal page (Online Secretariat - Final Examination) by the deadline indicated in the 'Four-year and Graduate Degree Programmes Calls' section of this page.

In order to be able to present your thesis topic, you must comply with:

  • submission deadlines:
    • graduate degree programmes: at least 5 months before the session
    • four-year degree programmes: at least 6 months before the session
       
  • curricular requirements:
    • graduate degree programmes: at least 56 ECTS credits acquired and course debts cleared
    • four-year degree programmes: at least 17 examinations taken, including compulsory first-year examinations

In order to apply for admission to the final examination, you must comply with:

  • submission deadline: at least 45 days before the session;
  • curricular requirements: have no more than 3 examinations in debt (counting does not include 'Theology' courses)

to apply for admission to the final examination, the student must:

  • fill in the graduation application on your iCatt personal page (Online Secretariat - Final Examination section);
  • print out the graduation application form, sign it and affix a €16 revenue stamp;
  • obtain authorisation, by e-mail, for the submission of the degree application from the reference professor (supervisor)
  • print and pay the degree fee slip
  • upload the following documents to iCatt in the indicated format: 

    - copy of the signed graduation application with the revenue stamp applied (.pdf format)

- copy of the receipt of payment of the undergraduate contribution slip (.pdf format)

- copy of the authorisation email sent by the professor/supervisor (.jpg format) 

Any changes to the title of the thesis, approved by the professor, must be made at the time the application is completed and printed. The title contained must therefore be definitive, as no further changes can be accepted.

The .pdf file of the paper must be uploaded via your iCatt personal page (Online Secretariat, Final Dissertation, Submit Final Dissertation).

Undergraduate students who fail to graduate in the call for which they have applied for admission to the final examination must notify both the professor/supervisor and the Student Services Centre of the relevant seat.
Notification to the Student Services Centre should be made by writing via the iCatt Information Request form under Lessons, Examinations and Final Examination - Final Examination.

For a subsequent graduation session, a new application for admission to the final examination must be submitted with a €16 revenue stamp and a receipt of payment of the Undergraduate Contribution.

Graduating students will receive the convocation exclusively via their iCatt personal page approximately 10 days before the scheduled graduation date (Online Secretariat - Final Examination section).

CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING THE FINAL GRADE, CREDITS AWARDED AND THESIS EVALUATION CRITERIA

The final graduation mark is the weighted average (for the ECTS credits of each course) of the marks obtained in each profit examination. 

The grade 30 cum laude is counted as 31.

The average in thirtieths thus obtained is converted into 110ths

For graduate degree programmes only, the marks for any debts or consolidations are also added.
