The programme offers students enrolled in the first year of their Master’s Degree at Cattolica the possibility of obtaining a Double Degree: 

  • Banking and Finance (B&F)
  • Economia dei Mercati e degli Intermediari Finanziari (EMIF)
  • Statistical and Actuarial Sciences (Curriculum Actuarial Sciences for Insurance)
    from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore 

    and
     
  • Master of Science in Mathematical Finance 
  • Master of Science in Economics (only for B&F)
    from University of North Carolina at Charlotte  

The programme covers two years of study of the Laurea Magistrale, the first year at Università Cattolica and the second year at UNCC. Departures are scheduled in August 2024 for the academic year 2024/2025.

  • At least 15 credits accumulated over the winter session and a minimum weighted average of 24/30; 
  • 90/110 final evaluation at undergraduate level; 
  • Courses that will count toward UNC Charlotte degree should have a minimum grade of 24/30; 
  • Complete all exams as set out in the agreement - please see the Study Plans below. 

All applicants must have a valid TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo certificate with a score of at least 83 for TOEFL, 6.5 for IELTS or 115 for Duolingo. The certificates should be passed no more than two years from the closing date of this programme.

Please note that all the students taking part in the Degree Programme are required, in accordance with Cattolica regulations, to take the Theology exams present in their course plan. 

Students participating in the programme will prepare a final thesis during their period abroad, under the coordinated supervision of both institutions (one member of the academic staff from each institution).

The final thesis will be discussed at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore upon return at home university, in accordance with the rules set by the Faculty Board. 

The fee for the Master’s programme at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for the academic year 2023/24 is $31,500. This cost may be subject to change for the next academic year, based on UNCC internal financial adjustments. 

In accordance with Cattolica and UNCC agreement, 2 students can access the programme on an exchange base, without paying any academic tuition fee. The best students will be selected following the ranking rules set by the Banking and Finance School: read here the details.

Cattolica International will award scholarships of €1,200 to eligible candidates, while funds are available. The students assigned with the exchange place are excluded from this contribution. 

Upon official acceptance from UNCC, all students will have to pay a non-refundable programme fee of €950 to Cattolica International. This fee will include administrative and application fees and the student safety package and insurance. 

All students will be responsible for all costs associated to their time abroad: travel, room and board, UNCC registration fees, cost of academic material, health insurance and visa issuance fees. 

Selected students must also be officially enrolled at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore for the entirety of their time at UNCC, respecting all university deadlines set for fees, study plans, graduation scheduling requests etc.

All students participating in an official Cattolica International programme must accept the “Student Safety Package” provisions by downloading the “Safety Check Students” app for the geolocation and instant messaging features to be used exclusively in the event of an emergency.

The “Student Safety Package” also includes health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the programme.
