Part-time student enrolment

Enrolment or part-time enrolment in programmes with nationally-scheduled access is not permitted. This declaration of interest will be submitted to the relevant teaching structures for approval, and following clearance, the student may submit a formal request for part-time enrolment. Part-time enrolment requires students to maintain this option for two consecutive academic years, without prejudice to the possibility of requesting, in any year of the course, to transfer to another programme at Università Cattolica. The normal duration of part-time programmes is as follows: six years for degree programmes; four years for graduate degree programmes; ten years for integrated five-year/six-year degree programmes. Students enrolled in the final year of their programme are not permitted to switch from full-time to part-time status, nor are students enrolled as fuori corso or repeat students beyond the normal duration of their programme. Interruption and suspension of studies
At the end of the suspension, students may resume the interrupted programme provided that the programme is still active. In order to submit the request, you must go to the Student Services Centre of the relevant campus to fill in the "Application for Suspension". In order to apply for a suspension, it is necessary to be up to date with the payment of tuitions due at the time the application is submitted. Suspension of studies without renewal of enrolment Teaching activities and the taking of examinations may be suspended for a maximum of 5 consecutive academic years without renewal of registration. Suspension of studies due to teaching inactivity In the event of failure to pass examinations for a maximum of 5 consecutive academic years (8 years for Old Order courses), after the normal duration of the programme upon renewal of enrolment, the student ceases to be a student. We suggest you present your study plan well in advance of the deadlines. It is important that you submit your study plan by the set deadline. Study plans submitted within 7 days after the deadline will be accepted but you will be required to pay a late fee of 100 (for the 2023/2024 academic year). If you have not submitted a study plan within 7 days after the deadline, then one will automatically be registered on your behalf which you will not be able to change at a later date.

Examinations
Maximum time limit for registration for an examination Registration for an exam must be carried out no later than four days before the official exam date via the iCatt personal page (Courses >; Register for the exam). Cancelling registration for an examination You can cancel your registration for an exam up until the day before the date of the exam by accessing your iCatt personal page (section Courses >; Cancel registration). For the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery You can cancel your registration for an exam up until the last day of registration for the exam from your iCatt personal page. Enrolment in the next exam round for the same course is only possible if the student is not enrolled in another exam round for the same course or if any result was reported in the exam round for which he/she is enrolled. Example Date of notification: 15 February Acceptance/waiver: no later than 20 February Automatic loading in career: 21 February (tacit consent) The results of the examinations taken will then be visible in the "Online Secretariat" of iCatt in the "Your booklet" section. Finalising examinations for undergraduates In the event of the inability of the professor to chair the board, as communicated close to the date of the exam, a substitute will be appointed to open the exam on the scheduled date, avoiding postponement of the exam.
