In order to register for an exam date you must use the "Registration for exams" function on the home page of your iCatt personal page or the "Register for the exam" function in the "Courses" section of your iCatt personal page. In order to be able to register for an examination, the course must be present in the degree curriculum and attendance must have been accrued, which is automatically acquired at the end of the course lessons where applicable.
Check that the course for which you wish to take the exam is present in the online booklet and that the booking deadlines are open.
Non-payment of university fees and interests on arrears, as well as any administrative irregularities (e.g. delay in filling in the income declaration) prevent registration for the examination.
In the event of difficulties or problems during enrolment, please contact the Student Services Centre at the relevant campus as soon as possible or send a report via your iCatt personal page.
Registration for an exam must be carried out no later than four days before the official exam date via the iCatt personal page (Courses > Register for the exam).
For example, if the exam is scheduled for 8 February, registration will be open until 4 February inclusive.
Requests to register for the examination after the deadline cannot be accepted.
You can cancel your registration for an exam up until the day before the date of the exam by accessing your iCatt personal page (section Courses > Cancel registration).
For the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery
You can cancel your registration for an exam up until the last day of registration for the exam from your iCatt personal page.
In order to be admitted to the examinations, you must show your badge and an identity document to the committee.
Enrolment in the next exam round for the same course is only possible if the student is not enrolled in another exam round for the same course or if any result was reported in the exam round for which he/she is enrolled.
Every six months, the committee in charge draws the alphabetical letter for the presentation of candidates in the examinations. The result is published by means of notices posted on the notice boards.
Milan, Brescia and Piacenza-Cremona Campuses
The results are recorded electronically.
In the case of oral examinations, the results are recorded when the examination is taken; to confirm the upload, the student must swipe the badge in the reader in the classroom.
In the case of written examinations, the results are communicated by means of a notification on the home page of the iCatt personal page (section "Results of examinations and uploading to your career"); in order to confirm the uploading to your career, you have to accept it by clicking on the "accept" button. Otherwise, pressing the "waive" button will not load the result into your career.
Following acceptance or renunciation, you will receive an email confirming the success of the operation.
If you do not receive the e-mail within 24 hours, report it immediately to the Polo Studenti
If there is no explicit acceptance, the result will automatically be considered accepted and uploaded into the career after 5 days from the date of notification (tacit consent). Once the 5 days following notification have elapsed, it is no longer possible to waive the outcome.
Example
The results of the examinations taken will then be visible in the "Online Secretariat" of iCatt in the "Your booklet" section.
Non-payment of university fees and interests on arrears, administrative irregularities (e.g. delay in filling in of income tax returns) and propaedeutic constraints could block the uploading of the student's career.
Rome Campus
The results are recorded in the presence of the student.
In the case of oral examinations, the results are recorded when the examination is held.
In the case of written examinations, the registration takes place after the result has been notified to the student for acceptance.
The results of the examinations recorded will be visible on the iCatt page (Online Secretariat > Your booklet).
Non-payment of university fees and interests in arrears, administrative irregularities (e.g. delay in filling in of income tax returns) and propaedeutic constraints could block the uploading of the student's career.
In the event of an incorrect result being recorded, the teacher must be contacted so that he/she can check and, if necessary, correct the recording.
In the event of the inability of the professor to chair the board, as communicated close to the date of the exam, a substitute will be appointed to open the exam on the scheduled date, avoiding postponement of the exam.
In order to reduce any critical situations linked to the excessive proximity or overlap of the date of the end of the exam session (last round) with the date of the start of the graduation session, it will be possible for undergraduates to close their careers (understood as the recording of all exams) within 7 calendar days from the start of the graduation session, i.e. the time required to carry out the checks on the student's career. To this end, the examination calendar will be scheduled so that the undergraduate student can take advantage of the exam dates as follows
The last exam date of each session may also be used if the examination is recorded within 7 calendar days from the start of the graduation session.
Rome Campus
The deadline for the last exam is communicated to the graduating student in the message containing the dates of the graduation exams.
