The programme offers students enrolled in the second year of their Master’s Degree at Cattolica the possibility of obtaining a Double Degree: 

  • Laurea Magistrale in Banking and Finance (B&F) / Economia dei Mercati e degli Intermediari Finanziari (EMIF) from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore 
  • Master of Science in Finance (MSF) from Fordham University   

The programme covers two years of study at Università Cattolica plus an intensive term at Fordham University (6 weeks) which will take place over the summer months following the 2nd year of the LM at Università Cattolica, from the beginning of June to the end of July.

  • minimum weighted average of 24/30 
  • minimum grade of 24/30 for the following exams: 
    • Advanced Microeconomics / Microeconomia 
    • Advanced Financial Accounting/Informativa finanziaria e principi contabili internazionali 
    • Quantitative Methods/Metodi quantitativi per la finanza II 
    • Corporate Finance/Finanza aziendale (avanzato) 

Students enrolled in the curriculum "Gestione delle Banche" (LM EMIF) are required to take the Advanced Corporate Finance course as an elective.

  • valid TOEFL or IELTS certificate (no more than 2 years from the issue date), with a score of at least 83 for TOEFL and 6.5 for IELTS

If any of the prerequisite is not satisfied, but the general academic curriculum is good, the admission will be evaluated on a case by case basis, by Fordham University.
 

To obtain a MSc in Finance at Fordham University, students must complete all exams as set out in the agreement with a minimum B average: 

I term 

  • Financial Markets and Responsibility 
  • Contemporary Issues in Global Finance 
  • Corporate Financial Application 

II term 

  • Machine Learning for Finance 
  • Global Risk Management 
  • Investment Applications 

 
These exams will be converted into a maximum of 12 credits of elective courses at Università Cattolica. 

The final thesis will be prepared and discussed at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore upon return at home university, in accordance with the rules set by the Faculty Board. 

The fee for the Master’s programme at Fordham University for 2024 edition is $25,603. Cattolica students will benefit of a $2,500 discount.

This cost may be subject to change for the next academic year, based on Fordham internal financial adjustments. 

Upon official acceptance from Fordham, all students will have to pay a non-refundable programme fee of €950 to Cattolica International. This fee will include administrative and application fees and the student safety package and insurance. 

Cattolica International will award scholarships of €1,200 to eligible candidates, while funds are available. 

All students will be responsible for the costs of their stay abroad (travel, room and board, costs of academic material, health insurance and visa issuance fees). 

Selected students must also be officially enrolled at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore during their time at Fordham University (respecting all university set deadlines for fees, study plans, graduation scheduling requests etc).

All students participating in an official Cattolica International programme must accept the “Student Safety Package” provisions by downloading the “Safety Check Students” app for the geolocation and instant messaging features to be used exclusively in the event of an emergency.

The “Student Safety Package” also includes health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the programme.
