Graduate Programmes

Students intending to graduate must:

  1. choose a topic, checking the requirements
  2. pay the expected contribution
  3. submit the application for admission to the final examination, verifying the curricular/temporal requirements
  4. deliver the final dissertation in the prescribed manner

The topic of the final examination must be related to a course included in the study plan and the title must be agreed upon with the reference professor.

The topic of the final examination, agreed with the professor, must be submitted via the dedicated function on the iCatt personal page (Online registrar > Final examination > Application for graduation), respecting deadlines and requirements.
If the date of the graduation session is changed, it does not have to be resubmitted.

In order to submit the final examination topic submission form, you must comply with:

  • submission deadlines: at least 5 months before the session. 6 months earlier for the four-year degree programme programme. Details in the calendar
  • curricular requirements: at least 50 ECTS credits acquired

The application for admission to the final examination (application for graduation) must be submitted via the dedicated function on the iCatt personal page (Online registrar > Final examination > Application for graduation), observing the deadlines and requirements.

  • submission deadline: at least 45 days before the session. Details in the calendar
  • curricular requirements:
    • graduate degree programmes: no more than 30 ECTS credits in debt
    • four-year degree programmes: no more than 3 examinations in debt (counting does not include 'Theology' courses)

The dedicated function (Online registrar > Final examination > Application for graduation) involves the following steps: 

  • filling in and forwarding the application to the professor for approval;
  • approval or refusal by the professor/lecturer;
  • payment of the graduation fee with Pago PA.

Any changes to the title of the final dissertation, approved by the professor, must be made at the time the application is completed. The title contained must therefore be definitive, as no further changes can be accepted.

The .pdf file of the dissertation must be sent to the professor via the personal iCatt page (Online registrar > Final examination > Submit final dissertation).

Instructions for submitting the dissertation: Submission of the dissertation

Undergraduate students who fail to graduate in the call for which they have applied for admission to the final examination must notify both the professor/supervisor and the Student Services Centre of the relevant seat.
Notification to the Student Services Centre should be made by writing via the iCatt Request for information form under Lessons, Exams and Final Examination > Final Examination.

For a subsequent graduation session, a new application for admission to the final examination must be submitted with a €16 stamp duty and a receipt of payment of the Undergraduate Contribution.

Graduating students will receive the convocation exclusively via their iCatt personal page approximately 10 days before the scheduled graduation date (Online registrar > Final Examination section).

Graduate Degree Programme

The following criteria are applied for the calculation of the final mark:

BASIC COUNTING

All marks of the profit examinations are added together multiplied by the number of ECTS credits of each examination (30 cum laude is counted as 32).
For the graduate degree programmes in Financial Markets and Institutions and in Statistical and Actuarial Sciences the compulsory supernumerary examinations are included in the calculation of the final average. For the graduate degree programme in Banking and Finance, compulsory supernumerary examinations are not included in the calculation of the final average.
The sum is divided by the total weight in ECTS credits of the courses considered (average in thirtieths).
The average in thirtieths thus obtained is converted into 110ths by multiplying the value obtained by 11 and dividing it by 3.

Four-year degree programme

The following criteria are applied for the calculation of the final mark:

All marks from the profit examinations are added up (30 cum laude is counted as 33).
The sum is divided by the number of courses considered (average in thirtieths).
The average in thirtieths thus obtained is converted into 110ths by multiplying the value obtained by 11 and dividing it by 3.

 

 

ADDITIONAL MARKS

- From 82.01 to 83: 1 point;
- from 83.01 to 84: 1.5 points;
- from 84.01 to 85: 2 points;
- from 85.01 to 87: 2.5 points;
- from 87.01 to 90: 3 points;
- from 90.01 to 100: 3.5 points;
- from 100.01 to 106: 4 points;
- average marks from 106 to 110 are raised to 110.
