Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences – a.y. 2025/26

 

Fondazione Piacenza e Vigevano offers the opportunity for students of the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences (Piacenza campus) to obtain a contribution for participation in an international mobility program during the academic year 2025/2026.

 

Funds availability

7 scholarships worth €2,500 gross each are available.

 

Eligibility requirements

Students who in the 2025/26 academic year are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree course at the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences at the Piacenza campus will be eligible for the funds. Students will be able to receive funds for participation in one of the following mobility programmes:

 

Criteria for awarding scholarships

Following the closure of registrations for each programme indicated above, the scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and of funds availability.

Note. Fondazione Piacenza e Vigevano grants cannot be combined with Fondazione Invernizzi grants. 

 

How to participate

All students enrolled in one of the programmes listed above and in possession of the entry requirements will be considered for the purposes of the ranking for the awarding of grants.

APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED

The General Commissioner’s Office for Italy’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, in collaboration with Italian universities and with the organizational support of the CRUI Foundation, has announced a selection process for 24 three-month curricular internships at the Italy Pavilion during Expo 2025 Osaka. The internships are divided into two cycles, with 12 positions per cycle.


Intern Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming, assisting, and providing information to national and international visitors at the Italy Pavilion.
  • Supporting the organization and management of cultural and educational events within the Pavilion.
  • Actively participating as speakers or moderators in events, including remote sessions.
  • Contributing to the creation of content for storytelling about Italy’s participation in Expo 2025.
  • Facilitating connections with youth communities at the national and international levels on topics related to Expo 2025.
  • Taking part in internal training sessions and team-building activities.


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master’s, or single-cycle degree program at an Italian university participating in the selection process.
  • A minimum exam grade average of 25/30.
  • Under 28 years of age.
  • At least 120 ECTS credits earned for bachelor’s or single-cycle degree students, and 40 ECTS credits for master’s degree students.
  • Certified English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
  • For non-native Italian speakers, certified Italian proficiency at B2 level or higher.

The Erasmus+ AGRIFOOD4FUTURE project, coordinated by Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, aims to train students and operators in the Agri-Food sector. Digitalization, resilience to climate change and innovation are the pillars on which to base the development of the Agri-Food sector of the future and which characterize project activities.

The Exchange Semester: 

Based on an in-depth analysis of the needs of the business world in the Agri-Food sector, an exchange semester has been defined aimed at integrating, through experience abroad in leading European university research and training centers in the Agri-Food sector, the skills of Bachelor's and Master's degree students.
The semester is divided into two curricula:

  • New Sustainable Practices;
  • Business Sustainability & Valorisation of Resources.

Depending on the semester in which the mobility takes place, the two paths address courses that delve into different aspects of innovation in the Agri-Food sector.
 

Who can apply

Students of the LT-26 Bachelor's Degree course (including the Food Production Management profile) and students of the LM-69 Master's Degree course (Sustainable Viticulture and Oenology and Sustainable and Precision Agriculture courses) can participate in the program. 

Students can be selected for the destination reserved for their specific course of study.

The program includes both attending lessons and carrying out a curricular internship.

Language requirements

The courses will be held in English. However, formal recognition of language skills is not required.

The programme

The CRUI-MAE Internship Programme is a collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (through the Diplomatic Institute) and Italian universities, with the support of the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities (CRUI) as organisational manager.

The MAECI-MUR-CRUI call for applications specifies an offer of 14 curricular placements at 6 Italian schools abroad, in the cities of Athens, Barcelona, Istanbul, Madrid, Paris and Zurich.

Applications are open to students on Master’s Degree and Single-Cycle Degree programmes of ALL degree categories, although for each offer there are some degree categories that are preferential and for which extra points will be assigned during selection.  

 

Language prerequisites

Before applying, check what prerequisites are set out in the application call.

A minimum B2 English language level is specified by MUR (the Ministry of Universities and Research) as a prerequisite.

Università Cattolica specifies the following students as eligible for application.

  1. Those with the following language certification certifying a minimum level of B2:
  2. Those who have passed the BUSINESS ENGLISH or ADVANCED ENGLISH Università Cattolica exam.
     
  3. Those who have taken the internal Internaional Office English test for an international programme application. The test must have been taken no earlier than April 2022 with a result of B2.1 or above.
     
  4. Those who are officially enrolled on a Master’s Degree programme delivered entirely in English.
