Undergraduate Degree Programmes

In order to choose/change your degree curriculum, you must have renewed your enrolment for the academic year 2021/22 with payment of the first instalment and registration must be IN PROGRESS. 

All students are required to submit their degree curriculum in accordance with the Faculty Guide via their iCatt personal page.

It is necessary to indicate the curriculum/profile, if provided for in the degree programme.

Students whose curriculum provides for the inclusion of electives must submit their degree curriculum by the deadline.

Education

SECOND YEAR
When submitting their degree curriculum, students must choose the programme they intend to follow, with reference to the Childcare Services (0-3 years) programme or the Services to the Person programme in contexts other than childcare.

Read the INFORMATION FORM (ita)

- TYPE 1: 350 hours of training programme, including 50 hours of indirect training, 150 hours in childcare and 150 hours in services to the person or training contexts. In this case, the student acquires 14 ECTS (10 curricular and 4 supernumerary).

- TYPE 2: 250 hours of training programme, including 50 hours of indirect training, 200 hours in childcare services. In this case the student acquires 10 curricular ECTS.

- TYPE 3: 250 hours of training programme, including 50 hours of indirect training, 200 hours in services to the person or training contexts. In this case the student acquires 10 curricular ECTS, but does not acquire the necessary credits to be able to work in childcare (0-3 years) services.

For the 0-3 years programme, the Clinical Psychology course (M-Psi/08) must be chosen. The Clinical Developmental Psychology course (M-Psi/04) is not valid.

Students enrolled in the second year who wish to include free-choice activities will have to add them with supernumerary courses.

If the supernumerary courses are chosen from among the courses offered in the degree programme in Education, the choice can be made independently by the student when submitting the degree curriculum.

If students wish to choose supernumerary courses activated in other degree programmes, they must present their degree curriculum by making the choices as provided for in the Faculty Guide, print the receipt, add the chosen courses by hand, indicating precisely the name of the course, the ECTS and the degree programme from which the course has been chosen.

THIRD YEAR

Students who chose the Childcare Services (0-3 years) programme

Type 1 and type 2 (see second year of the programme) will not have to select Clinical Psychology as a free-choice exam and will only have to choose 10 ECTS between the free-choice exams (as Clinical Psychology will already be in the degree curriculum)

Students enrolled in the third year who wish to change the type of training programme they chose last year must submit their degree curriculum and then send the following form (ita) to the Student Services Centre via iCatt

Electives:

Courses not chosen from the optional groups and offered in the degree programme in Education may be chosen

If students wish to choose free-choice courses offered in other degree programmes, they must present their degree curriculum by choosing among the active courses for the degree programme in Education, print out the receipt of the degree curriculum, delete by hand the chosen course that they do not intend to take and add the chosen course by hand, indicating precisely the name of the course, the ECTS and the degree programme from which this course has been chosen.

Students awaiting enrolment will submit their degree curriculum within 15 days of the date of completion of their enrolment.

Students enrolled following transfer from another university, transfer, second degree, resumption of career and all those who request changes to their degree curriculum other than those provided for by the Faculties, after submitting their degree curriculum, must wait for its approval before being able to view it on their iCatt page.

We recommend that you print out the degree curriculum as a receipt.

It is important to submit the curriculum on time.

For delays within seven days of the deadline, the degree curriculum may still be submitted, subject to payment of a late payment fee of €100.

In the event of a longer delay, a non-changeable degree curriculum will be assigned.

THE CHOICE OF COURSES ON THE BLACKBOARD PLATFORM IS NOT THE SAME AS THE PRESENTATION OF THE DEGREE CURRICULUM

Subsequently, in the event that they attend extracurricular activities organised by the Lifelong Learning Office of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the degree curriculum submitted will be modified by the Student Services Centre by inserting the activity attended, once the student has completed the course.

Students will also be required to record their activities by registering for exam dates.

SPECIAL CASES
Students may choose free-choice courses from among the courses not chosen among the optional groups of the degree programme in which they are enrolled or from courses in the other graduate degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Education.
If students wish to choose free-choice courses activated in other faculties' graduate degree programmes, they must present the degree curriculum by making the choices among the active courses for the graduate degree programme in which they are enrolled, print the receipt of the degree curriculum, delete by hand the course that they do not intend to take and add the chosen course by hand, indicating precisely the name of the course, the ECTS and the degree programme from which the course has been chosen.

It is possible to anticipate the courses envisaged in the degree curriculum for the years following the year of enrolment by entering up to a maximum of 30 ECTS as supernumerary exams.

The inclusion of supernumerary examinations must be done autonomously by the students, during the degree curriculum submission operations and before confirming the submission operations.

Training programmes and examinations with a laboratory cannot be brought forward.

When bringing exams forward, care should be taken to ensure that at least three exams/activities remain in each year's degree curriculum
