FACOLTÀ DI SCIENZE MATEMATICHE, FISICHE E NATURALI
Abstract
When a student finds himself in a course of operations research, he begins to wonder why this type of model is not used in every context. Indeed, he realizes its many applications and begins to realize that nowadays many processes are optimized manually and with great difficulty. The same thought is the one that led Orobix to implement projects based on operations research to support mainly manufacturing companies, but not only, in streamlining their processes.
Two successful cases will be presented in this talk: the first involves solving a production planning problem, addressed through the critical chain method, while the second aims to solve an assignment problem.
