LSE Summer session

The programme offers access to all summer courses: check the LSE Summer School courses, paying particular attention to  course dates and entry requirements. Please note that stated entry requirements must be met.

Please note that:

  • you can only attend one course per session;
  • you can attend one course per session for up to three sessions, so you may attend one, two or three courses depending on the number of sessions you sign up for;
  • you can request recognition of credits: see details.

Certification

Check the list of language certificates and scores accepted for the LSE Summer School ("English language requirements" section).

Cattolica International Language Test

If you do not hold any of the specified certificates, you can take the Cattolica International internal English test.

Notes

  • Select a test date and book your test when you are applying online. You should select the first date that fits your calendar so that you are sure to take the test before places run out. 
  • The test takes place in online mode. You will receive an email with the Zoom link by the day before the test date.
  • The test can only be taken once. 
  • If you have already taken the Cattolica International internal test for other programmes abroad and obtained a result valid for this programme, you can use that result without needing take the test again. You must have taken the test no earlier than May 2022 and if you use a previous test result you must specify the test date in your online application. 

 
Enrolment on a degree programme delivered in English

If you are on a Cattolica degree programme delivered entirely in English, you can upload enrolment self-certification and use it to apply for this programme.

Participants can either use LSE Summer School on-campus accommodation facilities or organise their own accommodation independently.

Booking on-campus accommodation: 
When applications have closed and you have received an offer from LSE Summer School, i.e. admission to a course, you can go ahead with booking your accommodation.

Application fee to be paid to LSE Summer School: £ 50 (non-refundable). 

  • 1 session (3 weeks, 1 course): £2,655
  • 2 sessions (6 weeks, 2 courses): £4,455
  • 3 sessions (9 weeks, 3 courses): £5,184

Programme fee: € 300 (non-refundable)

The cost of the programme includes:

  • orientation and support from Cattolica International during enrolment on the LSE Summer School course(s)
  • insurance and Student Safety Package
  • support leading up to departure
  • enrolment and attendance on one course per session
  • access to campus facilities (libraries, laboratories etc)
  • support on return from the programme for procedure for registering examinations taken abroad
  • official certificate of attendance, with exam grades
  • "Welcome Back: unpack your experience!" session by C International on return from the programme

Not included in the cost of the programme

  • return flights
  • meals and accommodation
  • visa costs, if applicable
  • cost of study materials 
  • anything not specified in the preceding list 
     

Current regulations allow Italian citizens to stay for up to six months in the United Kingdom without a visa. 

You will need a valid passport in order to enter the UK. If you do not have a valid passport you should apply for one as soon as possible.
