You can choose from the courses offered by Harvard Summer School as part of the Adult, Extension, & Visiting College programme.

The following options are available:

• 3-week session: 1 course (4 credits)
• 4-week session: 1 course (4 credits)
• 7-week session (Full Term): 2 courses (4 credits each, for a total of 8 credits)

You cannot combine the 7-week session with either the 3-week or the 4-week session.

Please note: The updated course list will be available in January 2027. In the meantime, you can browse the courses offered in 2026.

Credit recognition

You can apply for credit recognition. You must submit your application before departure, in accordance with the procedures established by your Faculty. Please read your Faculty's regulations and relevant procedures carefully.

If you are enrolled in a Master's degree programme, you may be able to obtain a Graduate Certificate awarded by Harvard University by taking one or two courses on campus during the summer, followed by two or three courses online. Read more information.

For the Brescia campus, the Faculties have identified a number of recommended courses.

Language certificates

Only the following certificates obtained from May 2025 onwards are accepted:

• TOEFL iBT: minimum score of 100
• IELTS Academic: minimum score of 7.0
• PTE Academic: minimum score of 70
• Duolingo English Test (DET): minimum score of 125

Please note: You cannot apply using the Cattolica International English language test or by providing proof of enrolment in a Cattolica degree programme taught entirely in English.

You can choose to stay on campus in accommodation provided by Harvard University or arrange your own accommodation.

Booking on-campus accommodation

Once enrolment has closed and you have received confirmation of admission to your courses at Harvard University, you can book your accommodation directly:

Accommodation costs

• 3 weeks (meals and accommodation): $ 3,820
• 4 weeks (meals and accommodation): $ 5,080
• 7 weeks (meals and accommodation): $ 7,820

• 7-week session (Full Term): 2 courses (4 credits each, for a total of 8 credits) – $7,164
• 4-week session: 1 course (4 credits) – $3,582
• 3-week session: 1 course (4 credits) – $3,582
• Programme fee: €300 (non-refundable)

The programme fee includes:

• Guidance and support with course enrolment at Harvard University
• Insurance and Student Safety Package provided by Cattolica International
• US health insurance provided by Harvard Summer School
• Pre-departure assistance
• Enrolment in and attendance at one course for each 3-week or 4-week session, or two courses for the 7-week Full Term session
• Access to all on-campus facilities (libraries, museums, sports facilities, etc.)
• Post-return assistance with the procedures for recording exams taken abroad
• Official certificate of attendance, including exam grades
• Post-return workshop, “Welcome Back: unpack your experience!”, organised by Cattolica International

The programme fee does not include:

• Return flights
• Meals and accommodation (see Accommodation section)
• Student visa application fees
• Course materials
• Any items not expressly listed as included

Cattolica offers 13 scholarships worth € 1,200 each. 

Please note:

• Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit* and paid in the form of a reimbursement.
• Students are automatically considered for a scholarship when they enrol in the programme. No separate application is required.
• When awarding scholarships, priority will be given to current students, followed by recent graduates.

* For students holding qualifications obtained outside Italy, if no grade conversion has already been recorded in their academic record at Università Cattolica, a default score of 80/100 will be assigned for their secondary school leaving qualification and 90/110 for their Bachelor's degree. No other methods of recognising or converting grades will be accepted.

Fondazione Piacenza e Vigevano Scholarships

Students enrolled in the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences at the Piacenza may be eligible for an additional scholarship offered by Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano.

Scholarship funds will be distributed equally among all eligible students selected on the basis of merit who complete their enrolment in the programme by 5 April 2027, subject to the availability of funds.

You can only submit your visa application once you have been admitted to the courses. Further information will be provided after enrolment has closed.

If you already have a passport, please check that it is still valid. If you do not have one, you should apply for it as soon as possible.
