SUMMER SESSION UCSC PROGRAM | FORDHAM

The programme provides for

  • access to the summer undergraduate academic offer - Summer Session 2;
  • selection of 2 courses for a total of 6, 7 or 8 credits (6 is the minimum number of credits; you cannot choose less);
  • credit recognition to be applied for.

Cattolica International Language Test

If you do not hold any of the specified certificates, you can take the Cattolica International internal English test.

Notes

  • Select a test date and book your test when you are applying online. You should select the first date that fits your calendar so that you are sure to take the test before places run out. 
  • The test takes place in online mode. You will receive an email with the Zoom link by the day before the test date.
  • The test can only be taken once. 
  • If you have already taken the Cattolica International internal test for other programmes abroad and obtained a result valid for this programme, you can use that result without needing take the test again. You must have taken the test no earlier than May 2022 and if you use a previous test result you must specify the test date in your online application. 

 
Enrolment on a degree programme delivered in English

If you are on a Cattolica degree programme delivered entirely in English, you can upload enrolment self-certification and use it to apply for this programme. 

  • The self-certification document can be downloaded from your iCatt page: Online Student Office section – Self-certification as substitute for official certification – Enrolment with study plan.
  • A B2 level score will be automatically applied when creating the ranking for the award of scholarships.

You can choose which campus to stay on, depending on the courses you plan to take and your personal interests:

  • The Lincoln Center is located in the heart of Manhattan, near the Columbus Circle, Central Park subway station and offers apartments equipped with a kitchen and air conditioning, suitable for 2 or 3 people.
  • The Rose Hill campus is located in the Bronx, close to the Bronx Zoo, New York Botanical Garden, and Metro-North Railroad and Fordham Rd. The campus offers more traditional accommodation in air-conditioned double rooms.

Apart from the € 300 programme fee (non-refundable), the cost of the programme varies depending on the campus and the number of credits.

The cost of the programme includes:

  • orientation and support from Cattolica International during enrolment on the Fordham University course
  • insurance and Student Safety Package
  • Fordham University international student fee
  • support before departure
  • enrolment and attendance on 2 courses for a total of 6 or 8 credits
  • Transcript of Records – official certificate of attendance and exam grades
  • on-campus accommodation (see details in housing section)
  • access to all service on campus (sports facilities, libraries, laboratories) 
  • shuttle service between campuses
  • support on return from the programme for procedure for registering examinations taken abroad

Not included in the cost of the programme

  • return flights
  • food 
  • study visa costs
  • cost of study materials (text books/ebooks or other study materials)
  • anything not specified in the preceding list 
     

Cattolica is offering 8 scholarships to the value of € 1,500 each.

Notes on scholarships:

  • The scholarships are assigned on the basis of academic merit and are paid as reimbursement of expenses related to the programme.
  • You do not need to make a separate application for a scholarship: your application is automatically submitted when you apply for the programme. 
  • Current students will be prioritised over recent graduates in determining the assignment of scholarships.
     

If you are selected for the programme you need to apply for a study visa.

You must be accepted on the courses before you apply for your visa. Further information will be provided after applications close.

You must also have a valid passport. If you do not have a passport, you must apply for one as soon as possible.
