BOSTON UNIVERSITY SUMMER TERM

To apply for courses in the Summer Term 2 programme, refer to Boston University’s academic offer for details of course dates and prerequisites. NB Applicants must satisfy prerequisites specified for the course(s).  

Those on the programme can:

  • select two courses for a total of 8 credits (applications are not accepted for fewer than 8 credits)
  • apply for credits to be recognised.

 
Notes on the academic offer:

  • Undergraduate courses are numbered 100 to 599.
  • Graduate courses are numbered from 600 to 999 and can only be selected by Master’s Degree programme students. Only Metropolitan College courses can be selected. 
  • Courses coded QST +600 are MBA courses and cannot be selected.

Certification

Cattolica International Language Test

If you do not hold any of the specified certificates, you can take the Cattolica International internal English test.

Notes

  • Select a test date and book your test when you are applying online. You should select the first date that fits your calendar so that you are sure to take the test before places run out. 
  • The test takes place in online mode. You will receive an email with the Zoom link by the day before the test date.
  • The test can only be taken once. 
  • If you have already taken the Cattolica International internal test for other programmes abroad and obtained a result valid for this programme, you can use that result without needing take the test again. You must have taken the test no earlier than May 2022 and if you use a previous test result you must specify the test date in your online application. 

 
Enrolment on a degree programme delivered in English

If you are on a Cattolica degree programme delivered entirely in English, you can upload enrolment self-certification and use it to apply for this programme. 

  • The self-certification document can be downloaded from your iCatt page: Online Student Office section – Self-certification as substitute for official certification – Enrolment with study plan.
  • A B2 level score will be automatically applied when creating the ranking for the award of scholarships.

Students can either stay on campus in Boston University housing or arrange for accommodation independently.

To book accommodation on campus: 
When your application is complete and you have received confirmation of admission to courses at Boston University, you can then book accommodation from the available options:

HOUSING & DINING SUMMER HOUSING

  • 2 undergraduate courses: $ 5,878
  • 2 graduate courses: $ 6,966
  • 1 undergraduate course + 1 graduate course: $ 6,422
  • Programme fee: € 300 non-refundable


The cost of the programme includes:

  • orientation and support from Cattolica International during enrolment on Boston University courses
  • insurance and Student Safety Package
  • US medical insurance
  • student services fee
  • support before departure 
  • orientation and tutoring service at Boston University
  • access to Boston University libraries and all on-campus services (sports facilities, laboratories, etc.) 
  • support on return from the programme by Cattolica International, regarding the procedure for registering examinations taken abroad
  • "Welcome Back: unpack your experience!" session by Cattolica International on return from the programme

Not included in the cost of the programme

  • return flights
  • food and housing
  • study visa costs
  • cost of study materials 
  • anything not specified in the preceding list 

Cattolica is offering 6 scholarships to the value of € 1,800 each.

Notes on scholarships:

  • The scholarships are assigned on the basis of academic merit and are paid as reimbursement of expenses related to the programme.
  • You do not need to make a separate application for a scholarship: your application is automatically submitted when you apply for the programme. 
  • Current students will be prioritised over recent graduates in determining the assignment of scholarships.

If you are selected for the programme you need to apply for a study visa.

You must be accepted on the courses before you apply for your visa. Further information will be provided after applications close.

You must also have a valid passport. If you do not have a passport, you must apply for one as soon as possible.

Some exams are pre-approved for students enrolled on the Master’s Degree programme in Management. 2024 exams will be confirmed shortly but as an example, see below for exams approved for the 2023 programme.
