The exchange will take place over the entire first year of the Master’s Degree programme. Departures are scheduled for September 2024 for the academic year 2024-2025.

A maximum of 5 places are available for students enrolled on the Master’s Degree programme in Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures - Language Sciences, Terminologies and Text Types.

3rd year undergraduate degree students wishing to undertake the Double Degree programme must earn their Bachelor’s Degree by July 2024 and submit a declaration of interest to the faculty office by the study plan submission deadlines.

Students will be selected and a ranking drawn up by a panel appointed by the Faculty on the basis of the number of places available, the number of applications and the study curriculum.

In line with the current agreements between the two universities, earning the double degree does not involve additional costs over and above the normal university fees at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. However, participating students will be responsible for their travel, food and accommodation expenses.

Students selected for the programme will be provided with information as to whether EU funds for an Erasmus+ contribution are available.

To earn a Master’s Degree in Romance Philology (modern) – French Philology, students must complete the planned course of study within two years.

Students who interrupt or do not complete the first year curriculum will have to substitute the exams they have taken at the University of South Bohemia with exams of equivalent credit value from the Master’s Degree programme in Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures, and will only be permitted to earn a degree from Università Cattolica.

Participating students will prepare their final thesis during their exchange period under the coordinated supervision of both institutions (one member of faculty from each institution).
