The programme offers students enrolled in the second year of their Bachelor’s Degree at Cattolica the possibility of obtaining a Double Degree:

  • Laurea Triennale in Economia dei Mercati e degli Intermediari Finanziari / Finance from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore 
  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Banking and finance from Bangor University 

 

The programme covers three years of study, with the first and second year at Università Cattolica and the third year at Bangor Business School. Departures are scheduled in September 2024 for the academic year 2024/2025.

  • A minimum weighted average of 24/30
  • A valid TOEFL or IELTS certificate with a score of at least 83 for TOEFL or 6.0 for IELTS (no less than 5.5 in any other section). The IELTS or TOEFL should be passed no more than two years from the closing date of this programme
  • Complete all the exams by the summer session

N.B.: If any of the prerequisite is not satisfied, but the general academic curriculum is good, the admission will be evaluated on a case by case basis, by Bangor University. 

Students in the programme will prepare a final thesis during their stay abroad, under the coordinated supervision of both institutions (one member of the academic staff from each institution). 

The final thesis will be discussed at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore upon return at home university, in accordance with the rules set by the Faculty Board. 

Please note that all students taking part in the Degree programme are required, in accordance with Cattolica regulations, to take the Theology exams present in their course plan. 

The full tuition fee for the BSc at Bangor is £18,000. Cattolica students will benefit of a discounted tuition of £16,000. This cost may be subject to change for the next academic year, based on Bangor internal financial adjustments. 

Upon official acceptance from Bangor, all students will have to pay a non-refundable programme fee of €950 to Cattolica International. This fee will include administrative and application fees and the student safety package and insurance. 

Cattolica International will award scholarships of €1,200 to eligible candidates, while funds are available. 
 
All students will be responsible for all costs associated to their time abroad (travel, room and board, registration fees, cost of academic material, health insurance and visa issuance fees). 

Selected students must also be officially enrolled at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore for the entirety of their time at Bangor (respecting all university set deadlines for fees, study plans, graduation scheduling requests etc.).

All students participating in an official Cattolica International programme must accept the “Student Safety Package” provisions by downloading the “Safety Check Students” app for the geolocation and instant messaging features to be used exclusively in the event of an emergency.

The “Student Safety Package” also includes health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the programme.
