  1. choose a topic, checking the requirements
  2. submit the application for admission to the final examination, verifying the curricular/temporal requirements
  3. deliver the final dissertation in the prescribed manner

Tutorial

The topic for final examination must normally be agreed with the reference professor in time for the final dissertation to be developed and completed by the deadline for submission of the application for admission to the final exam. This deadline, specific to each session, can be found under "Calls for undergraduate degree programmes".

The topic must be entered on your iCatt personal page (Online registrar > Final examination > Application for graduation).

Please refer to the Faculty Guide for further details on the final examination.

In order to apply for admission to the final examination, you must comply with:

  • submission deadline: at least 45 days before the session. Details in the calendar
  • curricular requirements:
    • no more than 30 ECTS credits in debt ('Theology' courses, final examination and internship are not included in the count).

To apply for admission to the final examination, students must:

  • fill in the application for graduation on your iCatt personal page (Online Registrar > Final examination section) and forwarding to the professor approval of the application;
  • obtain approval by the referring professor;
  • pay the graduation fee with Pago PA;
  • submit the application.

The .pdf file of the dissertation must be sent to the professor via the iCatt personal page (Online registrar > Final examination > Submit final dissertation).

The dissertation must be uploaded to the iCatt  personal page no later than 8 days before the start date of the degree sessions (see calendar).

The deadline for submitting the dissertation is not to be missed.

Instructions to submit the dissertation: Submission of the dissertation

Undergraduate students who fail to graduate in the call for which they have applied for admission to the final examination must notify both the professor/supervisor and the Student Services Centre of the relevant seat.
Notification to the Student Services Centre should be made by writing via the iCatt Request for information form under Lessons, Exams and Final Examination > Final Examination.

For a subsequent graduation session, a new application for admission to the final examination must be submitted with a €16 stamp duty. The Undergraduate Contribution will be determined on what has already been paid previously.

Graduating students will receive the convocation exclusively via their iCatt personal page approximately 10 days before the scheduled graduation date (Online registrar > Final Examination section).

The following criteria are applied for the calculation of the final degree mark:

BASIC COUNTING

All marks of the profit examinations are added together multiplied by the number of ECTS credits of each examination (30 cum laude is counted as 32).
Language courses, even if transcribed in 30ths, any supernumerary examinations and 'Theology' examinations are excluded from the count.
The sum is divided by the total weight in ECTS credits of the courses considered (average in thirtieths).
The average in thirtieths thus obtained is converted into 110ths by multiplying the value obtained by 11 and dividing it by 3.

Three points are added, which will become four if the student is “in corso”.

FINAL EXAMINATION MARK 0 to 3 points

THEOLOGIES BONUS

1 point if the average mark is >= 26;
0.5 points if the average mark is < 26 and >= 22
