Education

Integrated Degree Programmes

The student who intends to graduate must:

1. check dates and deadlines for all steps;
2. make contact with a Lecturer, checking his/her availability on ICatt;
3. choose a topic, checking the requirements;
4. pay the expected contribution;
5. submit the application for admission to the final examination, verifying the curricular/temporal requirements;
6. deliver the final dissertation in the prescribed manner.

The topic of the final examination must be related to a course included in the study plan and the title must be agreed upon with the reference professor.

In order to obtain approval for the topic, it is necessary to contact the professor.

The topic must then be entered on the iCatt personal page (Online registrar > Final examination) by the deadline indicated in the 'Four-year and Graduate Degree Programme Calls' section of this page.

For the characteristics of the final dissertation and related information, see the dedicated section.

Please refer to the Faculty Guide of the Milan, Brescia campuses for further details on the final examination.

In order to submit the final examination topic submission form, you must comply with:

  • submission deadlines: at least 6 months before the session. Details in the calendar
  • curricular requirements: not expected

For the final examination topic, students at the Milan campus may refer to the indications provided by the Sportello Tesi (Thesis Desk), which highlights the topics and the availability of individual professors.

In order to apply for admission to the final examination, you must comply with:

The dedicated function (Online registrar > Final examination > application for graduation) involves the following steps:

  1. completion and forwarding of the application to the professor for approval;
  2. approval or rejection by the professor;
  3. payment of the graduation fee by Pago PA;
  4. submission of the degree application.

Any changes to the title of the final dissertation, approved by the professor, must be made at the time the application is completed. The title contained must therefore be definitive, as no further changes can be accepted.

The .pdf file of the dissertation must be sent to the professor via the iCatt personal page (Online registrar > Final examination > Submit final dissertation).

Instructions to submit the dissertation: Submission of the dissertation

Undergraduate students are also required to submit a copy of the Internship Report to the Primary Teacher Education Internship Office.

Undergraduate students who fail to graduate in the call for which they have applied for admission to the final examination must notify both the professor/supervisor and the Student Services Centre of the relevant seat.
Notification to the Student Services Centre should be made by writing via the iCatt Request for information form under Lessons, Exams and Final Examination > Final Examination.

For a subsequent graduation session, a new application for admission to the final examination must be submitted with a €16 stamp duty and a receipt of payment of the Undergraduate Contribution.

Graduating students will receive the convocation exclusively via their iCatt personal page approximately 10 days before the scheduled graduation date (Online registrar > Final Examination section).

The following criteria are applied for the calculation of the final degree mark:

BASIC COUNTING

All marks from the profit examinations with marks in thirtieths are added together, including any supernumeraries from the Faculty of Education.

30 cum laude is counted as 32.

For specialistica degree programmes only, the marks for any educational debts are also added.

The sum thus obtained is divided by the number of examinations considered (average in thirtieths).
The average in thirtieths thus obtained is divided by three and multiplied by eleven, thus obtaining the mark in 110ths

FINAL EXAMINATION MARK

0 to 10 points. A maximum of 3 points out of 10 may be allocated to the internship report.
In the case of top marks and outstanding quality of the dissertation, the Commission may award honours

THEOLOGIES BONUS

1 point if the average mark is >= 29;
0.5 points if the average mark is < 29 and >= 26;
