This programme allows you to:

  • access the academic offer of the UCL Summer School
  • attend ONE MODULE ONLY per session
  • attend one or both the sessions, and therefore take either one or two modules, respectively.

It is possible to request the recognition of ECTS credits. The request for recognition must be submitted before departure, following the procedure established by your Faculty. Students are encouraged to carefully read the Faculty regulations and related procedures.

Language requirements

Check the list of language certificates and scores accepted by UCL (section “UCL Level 2 Language requirement”).

Note: certificates are accepted if taken no earlier than May 2023.

If you do not hold any of the specified certificates, you can take the Cattolica International internal English test. 

  • Select a test date and book your test when you are applying online. You should select the first date that fits your calendar so that you are sure to take the test before places run out. 
  • The test takes place in online mode. You will receive an email with the Zoom link by the day before the test date.
  • The test can only be taken once. 
  • The minimum level required is C1
  • If you have already taken the Cattolica International internal test for other programmes abroad and obtained a result valid for this programme, you can use that result without needing take the test again. You must have taken the test no earlier than May 2023 and if you use a previous test result you must specify the test date in your online application. 

 

It is not possible to apply using the Cattolica International test with a level lower than C1, nor by presenting enrollment in a Cattolica degree program taught in English.

 

Academic requirements

The UCL modules have grade average entry requirements which must be met. Most modules require a grade average of 24/30.

Prerequisiti FAQ

Participants can either use UCL's on-campus accommodation facilities or organise their accommodation independently.

Booking on-campus accommodation:  
When applications have closed and you have received confirmation of admission to your UCL course  and completed payment for the programme, you can go ahead with booking your accommodation.

  • Programme fee: €300 (non-refundable)
  • Cost:
    • 1 session (3 weeks, 1 module) £2,565
    • 2 sessions (6 weeks, 2 modules) £4,455

 

The cost of the programme includes:

  • orientation and support from Cattolica International during enrolment on the UCL course(s)
  • insurance and Student Safety Package
  • support leading up to departure
  • enrolment and attendance on one course per session
  • access to campus facilities (libraries, laboratories etc)
  • support on return from the programme for procedure for registering examinations taken abroad
  • official certificate of attendance, with exam grades
  • "Welcome Back: unpack your experience!" workhop by Cattolica International on return from the programme

Not included in the cost of the programme:

  • return flights
  • meals and accommodation
  • study visa costs, if applicable
  • cost of study materials 
  • anything not specified in the preceding list 

Cattolica offers 10 scholarships, each worth €1,000.

  • Please note that the scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and disbursed as a reimbursement.
  • To apply, simply enroll in the program; no specific application is required.
  • During the scholarship allocation process, priority will be given to students, followed by recent graduates.

Current regulations allow Italian citizens to stay for up to six months in the United Kingdom without a visa. However, starting from April 2025, Italian citizens will need to apply for an ETA to enter the United Kingdom. All instructions will be provided once admitted to the courses at UCL.

You will need a valid passport in order to enter the UK. If you do not have a valid passport you should apply for one as soon as possible.
