APPLY TO THE PROGRAMME

The programme grants access to the Summer Session D academic offering. Students are invited to consult the UC Berkeley course catalogue .

Please note: the list of courses is subject to updates. The final course list will be available in December.

Guide to course selection:
  • It is possible to enrol in two courses for a total of 5, 6, 7 or 8 units. Enrolment in fewer than 5 units is not permitted.

  • When selecting courses, please take into account:
    • course dates and timetables (they must not overlap, as attendance is compulsory)
    • ensuring that the “mode of instruction” is “in person”
    • checking whether courses have prerequisites. Please note that it is mandatory to meet any stated prerequisites.

It is possible to apply for recognition of ECTS credits. The request for credit recognition must be submitted before departure, in accordance with the procedures established by your Faculty. Students are advised to read carefully the Faculty regulations and the relevant procedures.

  • Students are invited to consult the list of certifications accepted by UC Berkeley and the corresponding required scores
PLEASE NOTE: only certifications obtained from May 2024 onwards will be accepted.

  • If you do not hold one of the indicated certifications, you may sit the Cattolica International English language test.
    • During the online application process, you may select the date on which to take the test. It is recommended to take the test on the first available date to avoid the risk of no places being available.
    • The test will be held online and can be booked directly during the application process. The Zoom link will be sent by email by the day before the test session.
    • The test may be taken only once.
    • If you have already taken the internal Cattolica International test for other study abroad programmes (from May 2024 onwards) and obtained a sufficient result, you may choose not to take it again and keep the previous result valid. You must indicate within the online application the date on which the test was taken.

  • Students enrolled in a Cattolica degree programme taught entirely in English may access the programme by attaching a self-certification of enrolment in the degree programme.
    • The document can be downloaded from the iCatt page: Online Secretariat section – Substitute declarations of certification – Enrolment with study plan. NB: the document must be completed and signed.
    • For the purposes of the ranking for the allocation of scholarships, a B2.2 score will be automatically assigned.
