Programme dates:

29 June - 7 August

Application deadline:

16 February 2026

Boston University Summer Term

  • Access to the Summer Term 2 academic programme.
  • Consultation of the Boston University course catalogue: https://www.bu.edu/summer/courses/, paying close attention to course dates and any prerequisites. Please note that it is mandatory to meet the prerequisites (where required by the course(s)). The list of courses will be updated in mid-December.
  • It is possible to choose two courses for a total of 8 credits. It is not possible to enrol for fewer than 8 credits.

Guide to Course Selection

  • Undergraduate courses are numbered from 100 to 599.

  • Graduate courses are numbered from 600 to 999 and may be selected only by Master’s students. It is possible to choose only those offered by the Metropolitan College.
  • Courses with the following code QST +600 cannot be selected, as they are MBA courses.
  • It is possible to request recognition of CFU credits. The request must be submitted before departure, following the procedure established by one’s Faculty. Students are invited to carefully read the Faculty regulations and related procedures: Exam approval | Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

For the Brescia campus, the Faculties have identified some recommended exams (Excel file to be uploaded: GeCo and SMFN-interf. SMFN-SBFA). Students are invited, as soon as the BU course list is updated, to check whether the courses will also be offered during Summer Term 2 – 2026.

  • If you do not hold one of the required certifications, you may take the Cattolica International English language test.
    • During the online application process, it is possible to select the date on which to sit the test. It is recommended to choose the earliest available date in order to avoid the risk of no remaining places.

    • The test will be held online and can be booked directly during the application phase.
The Zoom link will be sent by email by the day before the test session.

    • The test may be taken only once.

    • If you have already taken the internal Cattolica International test for other study-abroad programmes (from May 2024 onwards) and obtained a sufficient result, you may choose not to take it again and keep the previous result valid.
In this case, it will be necessary to indicate within the online application the date on which the test was taken.

  • Students enrolled in a Cattolica degree programme fully taught in English may access the programme by attaching a self-certification of enrolment in their degree programme.

    • The document can be downloaded from the iCatt page:
Online Student Services – Declarations replacing certificates – Enrolment with study plan.

    • Please note: the document must be completed and signed.

    • For the purposes of the ranking used for scholarship allocation, a B2.2 level score will be automatically assigned.
