The courses are aimed at students enrolled at Università Cattolica, from all campuses.

The courses are designed to give students a thorough preparation for the IELTS Academic test and will strengthen all four key language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking

Both semester and intensive courses are offered. Semester courses last 40 academic hours, while intensive courses last 32 academic hours.

In-person courses are offered at the Milan campus and, to provide greater flexibility, courses are also offered online.

IELTS test enrolment is not included in the course fee. Students must book the own IELTS test. Cattolica International recommends early booking for the test to ensure that test results are received in time for specific needs. Students should check deadlines for programmes/institutions applied for.  

To join the course, you must complete an online application  and submit a valid language certificate showing your English level.
If you don’t have a certificate, you will need to take an online assessment test during the application process so that our instructors can check whether your level is sufficient for you to benefit fully from the course.

Lessons are not recorded. Online lessons delivered by our certified English mother-tongue teachers are conducted via live streaming on programmed days and times. Classes are held synchronously and in an interactive format to enhance student engagement.

Active student participation is a key element of both online and in-person courses, as is submission of individual assignments in line with instructors’ instructions.
If you are unable to attend any classes, you should inform Cattolica International and/or the instructor and guidance will be provided on a case-by-case basis.
 

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the course.

Each programme or destination will specify the IELTS score required. Applicants must check programme information to verify language requirements.
