This 5-days academic programme includes:

  • 16 hours of classes and workshops
  • Up to 6 hours of training, coaching and feedback on Silicon Valley elevator pitches and team business plan presentations
  • 2 to 3 in-person or virtual company visits, which may include a mid-large tech company, a startup and an incubator/accelerator
  • 1 walking tour of SoMa or Palo Alto
  • 1 in person or virtual networking event
  • Classroom and instructional technology at USF’s 101 Howard St. campus in downtown San Francisco or hilltop campus or other venue for all courses
  • Programme materials and slide decks

Additional information

  • Minimum number of participants: 15 students
  • Maximum number of participants : 25 students 
  • Università Cattolica Administrative and Faculty staff will participate in the programme with the students

From 3rd to 7th of February 2025 (you have to book your arrival the 2nd of February and leave the 8thof February)

Target students:

The programme is available ONLY for students from the Faculty of Economics and Law, enrolled at the 1st year 2023/24 of the following Master of Sciences:

  • Global Business Management
  • Innovazione e imprenditorialita' digitale
  • Food Marketing e Strategie Commerciali
  • Banking e Consulting
  • Gestione d’Azienda

The Silicon Valley Immersion Programme is considered an Elective course of 5 CFU. 

Students should have an intermediate level of English (B2 CEFR). No English test requested.

Participants will stay in hostel accommodation, as well the 2 programme leaders. Rooms will be shared.

  • € 35 application fee (non refundable)
  • € 3.450 


The cost of the programme covers: 

  • The programme course, as mentioned above
  • Certificate issued by the University of San Francisco, including closing certificate ceremony
  • Transfer during the visit of the company
  • 5 lunches and coffee breaks for the days of lessons 
  • Coffee and tea available at breaks on lecture days
  • Transportation for company visits
  • Accommodation at Hi San Francisco Downtown (or similar) in a family room (6 nights and breakfast)
  • 2 programme leaders
  • Insurance for all the duration of the programme and Safety Package
  • Emergency number 24/7 for all the duration of the programme
  • Administration fees

Costs are subject to change in case of currency variation or variation of the Partner University fees.
 

The following are not included in the programme cost:

  • return flights
  • dinners
  • ESTA application fees ($21) or other visa related costs if applicable
  • anything not specified above

Cattolica offers 15 scholarships to the value €1,000 each.

Notes on scholarships:

  • The scholarships are assigned on the basis of academic merit and are paid as reimbursement of expenses related to the programme.
  • You do not need to make a separate application for a scholarship: your application is automatically submitted when you apply for the programme. 

Italian students will have to apply for ESTA.

Students of other nationalities will have to check whether they can apply for ESTA. You may also write to  programmi.internazionali-pc@unicatt.it.

Participants must have a valid passport.

Università Cattolica students are provided with “Student Safety Package” insurance cover.
