Università Cattolica, through the Faculty of Business and Law, Master’s Degree Programme (Laurea Magistrale) in Global Business Management, offers its students the possibility of obtaining at the conclusion of their study path a double qualification of:

  • Laurea Magistrale in Global Business Management from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore
  • MBA in International Business from the California State University San Marcos (San Marcos, CA, USA)

The programme covers two years of study, with the first year and the first semester of the second year undertaken at Università Cattolica and the last period at the California State University San Marcos.

Departures are scheduled approx. end of December 2024-beginning of January 2025 for the academic year 2024/2025 and the programme will end with the graduation at Università Cattolica.

To obtain the MBA in International Business at California State University San Marcos, students must complete the programme of exams set out in the agreement.

Students enrolled in the first year of Laurea Magistrale at the Faculty of Business and Law - Laurea Magistrale in Global Business Management can apply for the programme. They should have an average mark of at least 24/30 (3.0 GPA). 

Students have to pass all the exams of the first year of Global Business Management by the end of September 2024.

To be selected, students should have one of the following certificates:

  • TOEFL/IBT (score of at least 85);
  • IELTS (overall score min. 6.5 with a writing section of min. 6 and no section below 5.5). 

Certificates must be obtained not before January 2023.
 

Please note that all students taking part in the Degree programme are required, in accordance with Cattolica regulations, to take the Theology exams present in their course plan.

The final thesis of Laurea Magistrale must be written in English. A summary, written in the language of the student’s Home University must be attached. The final thesis will be evaluated by a supervisor at the Home University, according to the institution policy, with a possible collaboration of a co-supervisor at the Host University. Students will have to follow the Cattolica procedure to register for a Cattolica official Graduation day (i.e. in terms of steps, deadlines and fees).
 

The following tuition fee can be subject to change as it is referred to the current academic year. 

  • Application fee: € 35
  • Tuition fees: 16,430 USD
  • Programme fee: 950.00 Euros
  • Scholarships: 2 scholarships of € 4.000

In order to allocate the scholarships, applications will be assessed and a ranking will be compiled, based on the following:

  • 60% weighted average of results of exams passed and registered by March 11, 2024
  • 40% total credits accumulated by March 11, 2024

The beneficiaries of the scholarships will receive direct instructions regarding the procedure to follow.

Students selected for the program will be responsible for the costs of their stay abroad (travel, accommodation, food and costs of material). Students selected for the program must also be officially enrolled at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore while they are abroad (keeping to deadlines for university fees, study plans, request for graduation etc).

Selected students will benefit from the health insurance provided by AXA in collaboration with Cattolica. In addition, the “Student Safety Package” will be activated, and the students will be able to download the Safety Check Students app for the geolocation and instant communications in case of emergency. More information about the activation procedure will be provided to the selected students.
