What are they?
Taking part in an international experience also means adapting to a new academic environment and communicating in English every day. The Get Ready Seminars are English language seminars designed to help you prepare in advance by strengthening the language skills and confidence you need to make the most of your experience abroad.
Who are they for?
The Get Ready Seminars are open to all students enrolled at Università Cattolica who would like to improve their academic English in preparation for an international experience.
You can take part if you:
- have already been selected for an international mobility programme;
- are planning to apply for an international mobility programme;
- are considering an academic experience abroad and would like to prepare in advance;
- simply want to strengthen your academic English skills.
A minimum B2 level of English is required to participate.
Why take part?
The Get Ready Seminars help you prepare not only in terms of language skills, but also for real-life academic situations.
By taking part, you will be able to:
- develop the skills needed to structure and deliver academic presentations in English;
- learn how to organise and develop written texts in an academic context;
- acquire strategies to follow lectures more easily, identify key information and take effective notes;
- expand your vocabulary and learn useful expressions for communicating in an international academic environment;
- learn from highly qualified native English-speaking instructors;
- build your confidence in using academic English and approach academic activities abroad with greater confidence and awareness.
How and when can I register?
Registration will be open until 5 May 2027.
To take part, you must register through the portal and pay the participation fee of €95.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, Cattolica International reserves the right to propose alternative arrangements, days or times, or to cancel the course. In the event of cancellation, the participation fee will be refunded in full.
When do the seminars take place?
The Get Ready Seminars will take place online from 10 to 21 May 2027.
Sessions will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 18:15 to 19:45.
All sessions will be live and will not be recorded.
