Guide to consulting the courses:

  • check the list of certifications accepted by UCL and the corresponding scores: Entry requirements | UCL Summer School – UCL – University College London, section “English Language requirements”
  • NOTE: only certifications obtained from May 2024 onwards will be accepted
  • if you do not have one of the required certifications, you may take the English test offered by Cattolica International
    • during the online application you can select the test date; it is recommended to take the test on the earliest available date to avoid places running out.
    • the test is held online and can be booked directly during the application stage. You will receive the Zoom link by email the day before the exam.
    • the test may be taken only once.
    • the minimum level required is C1
    • if you have already taken the Cattolica International internal test for other international programmes (also from May 2024 onwards) and passed, you may choose not to retake it and use the previous result. You must indicate the test date in the application
  • you cannot apply using the Cattolica International test if your score is below C1 and you are enrolling in a Cattolica degree taught in English

 

Academic requirements

To access UCL modules, a grade point requirement must always be met. For most modules, the required average is 24/30.

The required average varies according to:

  • your year of study
  • the level of the selected module

Students may choose to stay on campus and use the facilities provided by UCL, or to arrange their own accommodation independently.

To book on-campus accommodation:

Once applications have closed, admission to the UCL course has been confirmed, and the programme fee has been paid, each student will receive a code by email allowing them to book their accommodation independently.

1 session (3 weeks, 1 module) £2,695

2 sessions (6 weeks, 2 modules) £4,495

Programme fee: €300 non-refundable

The programme cost includes:

  • orientation and support during enrolment on the UCL course
  • insurance and the Student Safety Package
  • assistance before departure
  • enrolment in and attendance of one course per session
  • access to all on-campus services (libraries, laboratories, etc.)
  • assistance upon return regarding the procedures for recording foreign exam results
  • official attendance certificate, with exam grades
  • return workshop “Welcome Back: unpack your experience!” organised by Cattolica International

The programme cost does not include:

  • return flights
  • board and lodging
  • any visa-related expenses, where required
  • costs for academic materials
  • anything not expressly specified

  • Cattolica offers 10 scholarships, each worth €1,000.
    • Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and are provided as reimbursements.
    • To apply, it is sufficient to enrol in the programme; no separate application is required.
    • When awarding scholarships, priority will be given first to currently enrolled students and then to recent graduates.
    • For students holding qualifications obtained outside Italy, if no grade conversion has been recorded in their Cattolica academic record, a provisional score will be assigned: 80/100 for the secondary school leaving qualification and 90/110 for the Bachelor’s degree. No additional or alternative forms of recognition of grades will be accepted.

According to current regulations, Italian citizens staying in the United Kingdom for less than 6 months do not need a visa, but must apply for an ETA to enter the UK. All instructions will be provided once you have been admitted to UCL’s courses.

Students of other nationalities must check whether they need to apply for an ETA Check if you can get an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) - GOV.UK and verify entry requirements, as they may need to apply for a visa: Check if you need a UK visa - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

You must hold a valid passport. If you do not have one, you should apply for it as soon as possible.

All Università Cattolica students will be covered by an insurance policy.
