St Tikhon’s Orthodox University in Moscow offers online Russian language course (phonetics and conversation) for Russian language students on undergraduate degree programmes in Linguistic Sciences (Milan and Brescia campuses) and Linguistic Sciences for International Relations (Milan campus).
Students can attend one or both of the two proposed modules. Students will be able to join Russian students in watching and discussing a film chosen by the academic staff for the students of the school.
The programme
- Phonetics: students will be led through a series of practical exercises focused particularly on sounds that are difficult for an Italian speaker to master. Course leaders will focus in particular on the following: pronunciation, articulation, combinations of complex sounds, intonation, listening and reproduction of simple dialogues on everyday topics.
- Practical conversation course: students will be helped to acquire the necessary vocabulary to deal with practical life situations and to express themselves on specified topics. The cultural and social life of young people in Moscow will be given particular attention, as will new trends and the differences in mindset between Moscow and the provinces.
Cineforum
A small cineforum will be organised for all students enrolled on at least one of the two modules, which will include the screening of the film "Летят журавли" (The Cranes are Flying) and related discussion with Russian professors and students.
