Clinical Electives

By taking part in the VSLO Programme, you can benefit from:

• Experience in diverse settings: rural clinics, urban hospitals, and research laboratories

Through the VSLO platform, you can:

• Browse the catalogue of available electives
• Upload the required documentation
• Monitor the status of your applications
• Access useful resources to organise your stay abroad

Each host institution sets its own specific admission requirements.

Final selection decisions are made by the host institution.

Cattolica International cannot guarantee final admission.

STEP 1

Access the online application through your personal iCatt page:
Services and Opportunities > International Mobility > Mobility Calls > VSLO Programme

STEP 2

Upload a completed and signed Disclosure Statement in the designated section. You must indicate your @icatt email address in the form.

STEP 3

Pay the € 35 application fee online (non-refundable).

STEP 4

Activate your AAMC account by following the instructions emailed to your iCatt address.

Once you have been granted access to the platform, you will be able to:

• Complete your personal and academic profile
• Browse the catalogue of electives offered by participating institutions
• Identify opportunities that best match your educational interests

A fee of USD 15 is required for each application submitted through the VSLO platform.

After you upload all the documentation required by the selected university, Cattolica International will validate and release your application.

If you are selected, you will receive an email with information about:

• Scholarship 
• Activation of your insurance coverage
• Credit recognition forms

Scholarships are available, subject to available funding, as partial reimbursement of travel and living expenses during your mobility period.

• Amount: € 500 per month
• Duration: 1 to 3 months

You may request credit recognition by uploading, through your personal iCatt page, the certificate issued by the host institution.

Activities may be recognized as Clinical / Research Electives, with a minimum duration of 1 month (at least 100 hours of practical training).

All students and recent graduates participating in international mobility programmes are covered by an insurance policy valid abroad. The policy includes:

• Health insurance
• Third-party liability (for damage caused to persons or property)
• Workplace accident coverage

Insurance coverage is active from 7 days before the official start date of your mobility period until 7 days after the official end date.

For longer stays abroad, students are required to arrange additional insurance coverage.

All students and recent graduates undertaking an internship abroad must download and activate the Safety Check Students app, designed for emergency management.
