The Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project “Mit dem Tandem über die Alpen” offers students learning German as a foreign language at the Brescia campus of Università Cattolica the opportunity to take part in synchronous virtual exchange activities with students from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (Germany).
Through direct interaction with their native German-speaking tandem partners, Università Cattolica students will improve both their oral and written language skills. They will share experiences and insights relating to German language, culture, and society, leveraging the full potential of peer-to-peer communication in a digital, multimedia environment.
Students will meet virtually for two hours every week, for ten weeks, conversing for one hour in Italian and one hour in German.

Target students: Open to undergraduate (Bachelor's) and postgraduate (Master's) students in Linguistic Sciences at the Brescia campus, specialising in German.

Credit Recognition:
2 ECTS credits awarded under Other Elective Educational Activities (graded as pass/fail with an international activity designation on the study plan). Upon registration, download and follow the instructions in the International Student Mobility Portal to complete your Program Plan and request credit recognition.
In addition, 1 extra-curricular ECTS credit will be awarded for international activity.
