NB: Once logged into the international mobility portal, the programme can be found under the Exchange category.
Topics covered
The programme aims to explore the challenges that social inequalities pose to social workers, from an international and comparative perspective. Topics will include, for example: migration, poverty, homelessness/housing, mental health, gender discrimination, discrimination related to sexual orientation, and other related issues.
Participating universities
Twenty Social Work students from four institutions will take part: in addition to Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan and Brescia campuses), the Katholische Stiftungshochschule (KSH) in Munich, Germany, and two Portuguese universities: Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) in Lisbon and Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas (ISCSP) in Lisbon.
Teaching methods
During the stay in Munich, the programme includes in-person lectures and guided visits to local services and organisations, providing insight into practices and intervention models within the local context. This will be complemented by an online session prior to departure.
Teaching methods will also include opportunities for discussion between students and lecturers, as well as peer exchange through group work.
