About us

Since then, the DDS Office has evolved while following guidelines set out in the various national and international regulations and the directions of didactic-pedagogical research regarding the inclusion of students with disabilities and with specific learning disorders. Figures In 1999, there were 58 students followed by our Office, all of whom were based in Milan, while in 2010 there were 429 students in Milan, Brescia and Piacenza-Cremona. The most recent figures for the 2021/2022 academic year count more than 2000 students distributed across the four campuses (Milan, Brescia, Piacenza-Cremona and Rome). Since 2009, around 100 Civil Service volunteers have worked with us and trained to ensure university attendance by students with disabilities and with specific learning disorders and to promote inclusive contexts. Director of the Master Course in "Didactic and Education for Students with Attention Deficit and Hyperactive Disorder". The DDS’ administrative office promote various projects and activities to increase the inclusive offer thanks to the funds deriving from a part of the 5 per thousand (5x1000) devolved to Università Cattolica and to the special fund set up by the University.

Special services

Learning support The Disability and Dyslexia Services offer students with disabilities or DSA, who present regular documentation (see Beneficiaries), the opportunity to be supported by a pedagogy consultant to achieve a satisfactory and independent academic career. In particular, there are three areas of intervention that our pedagogy consultants cover: Method of study Attendance of lectures Taking exams 1. Method of study: through individual and group interviews (see Notices and events), the pedagogy consultant accompanies the student in identifying cognitive and organisational strategies that are effective in facing academic commitments with maximum autonomy. Attendance of lectures: In the event of specific needs, the pedagogy consultant contacts the instructors to adapt the teaching methods and materials so that they are accessible to the student's needs. Taking exams: the pedagogy consultant agrees with the student, bearing in mind the guidelines for universities on compensatory measures (see Laws and Network), on the tools needed to take examinations in equivalent mode and communicates them to the instructors. Specifically, compensatory measures (e.g.: "additional time, aids and technical tools, presence of communication assistants ..." from the "Conferenza Nazionale Delegati per la Disabilità (CNUDD), Linee guida, Bergamo, 10 July 2014") will be assessed by the Services in a personalised manner. With regard to requests for compensatory measures, students are required to agree on the necessary tools with the pedagogy consultant or to request them using the appropriate forms and to respect the deadlines set for effective communication.

Si, se l´azienda ha ricevuto un numero sufficiente di candidature prima della data di scadenza può cancellare l´offerta in modo autonomo. Il Servizio Stage &; Placement effettua una preselezione sulle candidature? Il Servizio Stage &; Placement fornisce gli strumenti per mettere in contatto gli studenti/laureati con le aziende che stanno ricercando nuove risorse da inserire nel loro organico. BANCA DATI LAUREATI Con quale frequenza è consigliabile aggiornare il curriculum vitae nella banca dati CV? Una volta impostati i filtri per selezionare i cv, l'azienda visualizza un elenco che contiene tutti i dati dei laureati ad eccezione dei dati anagrafici e dei contatti (nome e cognome, residenza e recapito, telefono, indirizzo e-mail) nel rispetto dei limiti posti dal D. Lgs. n. 276/2003. Il sistema consente all'azienda di richiedere i dati anagrafici e i contatti di 20 cv al giorno, 50 cv alla settimana, 100 cv al mese al fine di evitare abusi e download massivi non collegati ad effettive esigenze di recruiting. I cv sono a disposizione delle aziende dopo il caricamento dei dati di laurea a cura dei sistemi didattico-informatici.

Curricular internship tutors

A curricular internship allows the acquisition of credits. The rules for assigning credits and the number to be assigned vary depend on the provisions decided by individual faculties and degree programmes. Each Faculty has appoints internship tutors who interns can contact for all academic and organisational aspects of curricular internships. The DDS office can also provide through individual meetings support and advice in choosing a degree programme. Please also note that the Disability and Dyslexia Services Office has a dedicated information desk during the university Open Days which are held periodically at every Università Cattolica campus. Any student whether already on campus or planning to study at University Cattolica as part of an exchange or study abroad programme is invited to first contact the International Office - Cattolica International for any particular need that the DDS service may provide. Degree seeking students: contact the DDS office for the relevant campus where your degree programme is offered to get additional information regarding the documentation you are required to submit in order to get your tuition and university fees waived. If you are already pre-registered or enrolled, please contact the DDS’ administrative office for information regarding access to pedagogy consulting (recommended period: at least two months before the exams for which you intend to request compensatory measures). and need information on accessibility and/or compensatory measures for examinations, it is advisable to send to the DDS’ administrative office a document regarding your situation and any needs by e-mail, leaving a contact telephone number. Since 2006, the Rector's Delegates for Disability of Lombardy Universities have started a coordination activity, which was formalised with an agreement in 2011: the CALD (Coordinamento degli Atenei Lombardi per la disabilità e i DSA) (https://www.cald.it/ ).

SPAEE - Servizio di Psicologiadell'Apprendimento e dell'Educazione in EtàEvolutiva ( Service of Psychology of Learning and Education in Adolescent Age) : the (SPAEE) was established in 2001 within the Department of Psychology of Università Cattolica. Initially operating in Milan, since 2010 it has also had an office in Brescia and offers: psycho-educational paths, diagnostic and qualification paths (also for specific learning disorderscertification for children and adults) and training paths. Managing disability : a platform dedicated to companies and people with disabilities created to disseminate best practices, know-how and experiences as well as to publish job offers dedicated to protected categories.
