Corses & Programs | Yale Summer session

The information currently available on the Yale website refers to the 2025 edition. The website will be updated in mid-January 2026; therefore, some changes may occur.

  • access to the Summer Session B academic programme
  • please consult the academic offer of Yale University: https://summer.yale.edu/academics/yss-courses-credit. The list of courses is currently being updated.
  • course syllabi will be published shortly; in the meantime, it is possible to consult the syllabi of the courses offered in the 2025 edition: https://summer.yale.edu/academics/yss-courses-credit
  • it is possible to select two courses for a total of 2 credits. It is not possible to enrol in fewer or more than 2 credits.

Guide to consulting the course catalogue:

  • check that course days and times do not overlap (once the 2026 course offer becomes available);
  • select course mode: “in person”;
  • select dates: “Session B”;
  • online courses cannot be selected (they are identified by the letter “E”);
  • any prerequisites required by the course(s) must be fulfilled;
  • further information is available at the following link: https://summer.yale.edu/academics/yss-courses-credit, section “Tips for Choosing a Yale Summer Session Course”.

  • students may apply for the recognition of CFU (academic credits). The recognition request must be submitted before departure, in accordance with the procedures established by the relevant Faculty. Students are strongly advised to carefully read the Faculty regulations and the related procedures: Exam Approval | Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

For the Brescia campus, the Faculties have identified a number of recommended examinations (Excel file to be uploaded on GeCo and SMFN). Students are invited, as soon as the Yale course list has been updated, to verify whether the courses will also be offered during Summer 2026.

Please consult the list of English language certifications accepted by Yale University and the corresponding required scores:
Visiting International Students | Yale Summer Session, section “What can I submit for Proof of English Proficiency?”

IMPORTANT: only certifications obtained from May 2024 onwards will be accepted.

➤ If you do not hold one of the listed certifications, you may take the Cattolica International English language test.

  • During the online application process, it is possible to select the date on which to sit the test. It is recommended to take the test on the earliest available date to avoid the risk of no places remaining.
  • The test will be conducted online and can be booked directly during the application phase. The Zoom link will be sent by email by the day prior to the test session.
  • The test may be taken only once.
  • The minimum level required is C1.
  • If the internal Cattolica International test has already been taken for other study abroad programmes (from May 2024 onwards) and a sufficient result was obtained, students may choose not to take the test again and keep the previous result as valid. In this case, it will be necessary to indicate within the online application the date on which the test was taken.

  • It is not possible to apply using the Cattolica International test with a level below C1, nor by submitting enrolment in a Università Cattolica degree programme taught in English.
