NB The programme can be found in the ‘Faculty-led programmes’ section after accessing the international mobility portal

The Faculty-led Programme includes participation in the annual European College of Sport Science (ECSS) Congress, one of the leading international events in the field of sport and exercise sciences. The Congress is held in a different host university across Europe each year; the 2027 edition will take place in Manchester.

The primary aim of the ECSS is to promote and disseminate scientific research in sport and exercise sciences by providing a high-level academic forum where researchers, practitioners and students can engage with innovative topics, research findings and methodological developments in the field

Attending the Congress enables students to engage directly with the international scientific community, attend lectures and workshops, and expand their academic and professional networks.

The programme offers an intensive learning experience, led by Università Cattolica professors, combining academic learning with first-hand exposure to the latest scientific evidence and practical applications in the field of sport sciences.

Upon their return, students will be required to prepare and present a final report on the Congress, based on specific thematic pathways assigned by the faculty members.
