The COIL Online Digital Collaboration Project for English is an international project coordinated by the Amsterdam School of International Business. It allows participants to deepen their knowledge of English by interacting with students of other nationalities in a virtual and collaborative learning environment, where they can develop intercultural awareness and acquire the language skills that are most useful from time to time for effective communication while dealing with stimulating business-related topics.
During the virtual meetings, you will collaborate with peers from Amsterdam on the development of a project related to some of the Sustainable Development Goals outlined in the UN 2030 Agenda.
The project includes the preparation of a 1,500-word business report and a poster, in which different media may be used to describe a plan designed to address—and possibly achieve—one of five proposed goals. You will imagine working for a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that could realistically adopt your project, within either an industrialized or a developing country. Each group member will contribute creatively to the research work and to the production of the business report and the poster, according to the skills acquired during their course of study.
