University of San Francisco - Silicon Valley Immersion Program

This 5-days academic program includes:

  • 18 hours of classes and workshops
  • 6 training hours, coaching and business plan presentations
  • 2/3 company visits which may include a mid-large tech company, a startup and an incubator/accelerator
  • 1 walking tour of SoMa or Palo Alto
  • 1 networking event in Presence or in virtual mode

 

Academic period
From 6th to 10th of February 2023 (you have to book your arrival the 5th of February and leave the 11th of February)

Credit recognition
The Silicon Valley Immersion Program is an UCSC Elective course of 5 CFU. 

Fee

The Programme fee is € 3.280 (Minimum number of participants enrolled is 15).

The price includes: 

  • The programme course, as mentioned above
  • Certificate issued by the University of San Francisco
  • Transfer during the visit of the company
  • 5 lunches and coffee breaks for the days of lessons 
  • Accommodation at Hi San Francisco Downtown (or similar) in a family room (6 nights and breakfast)
  • 2 programme leaders
  • Insurance for all the duration of the programme and Safety Package
  • Emergency number 24/7 for all the duration of the programme
  • Administration fees

Costs are subject to change in case of currency variation or variation of the Partner University fees.

Flight ticket is not included and it has to be booked after the application deadline, when we will have the confirmation of a minimum number of students (the international office will give you the confirmation after September 29th, 2022). The participants will be able to book the flight ticket through the University travel agency, if interested. 

The accommodation is included for the check-in on the  5th of February and for the check-out on the 11th.

The group will meet the programme leaders at the Reception of the Hostel on February 5th at 06.00 p.m. 

 

Scholarship

25 scholarships of € 500.

Please note that the Cattolica scholarship will be paid in form of reimbursement after the end of the programme, the beneficiaries will receive direct instructions regarding the procedure to follow.
 

  • Minimum number of participants: 15 students
  • Maximum number of participants : 25 students 
  • The international office will supervise the Safety situation in the country in order to guarantee the beginning of the programme 
  • Cattolica Administrative and Faculty staff will participate in the programme with the students
  • The programme is available ONLY for:
    • Students from the Faculty of Economics and Law, ‘Global Business Management’ course, enrolled at the 1st year 2021/22
    • Students from the Faculty of Economics and Law, ‘Innovazione e imprenditorialita' digitale’ course, enrolled at the 1st year 2021/22
  • Programme enrollment will be accepted chronologically and the application might be closed in advance if we will reach the maximum number of participants before the deadline (September 29th, 2022). Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
  • Students will have to apply for the ESTA to travel to USA. Please apply for the passport as soon as possible, in case you don’t have it yet.

The program will be confirmed for a minimum group of 15 participants. Refund conditions will depend on the number of students enrolled in the program. 

The second installment of the fee will be paid after the confirmation of the program.
